Humble beginnings in 2006 saw the fledgling company Fortron SA start with five bottle products out of a storeroom. After a visit to Perth, Australia, we expanded our offering with workshop equipment and service kits, and systematically penetrated a difficult market during the 2008 recession - but we survived. Words like ProfitModel® and InjectorMax® became synonymous with Fortron SA and were well recognised in the dealer fraternity.

In the meantime, Automotive Technologies, Distribution and Marketing (ATDM) was born in 2008 due to a need for locally manufactured anti bacterial air conditioning treatments.

Fortron SA continued to grow from strength to strength. In 2009 we moved to our first small warehouse. Our staff complement grew from 2 to 3 to 5 in a short period. We changed from driving Nissan bakkies to VW Caddys. In 2013 we purchased our own warehouse in Hennopspark. In 2014 we lost a big dealer group, accounting for a 25% loss of turnover, but we survived.

After a company risk analysis in 2015, we decided to ensure we could produce all our products ourselves. Manufactured and tested, they went to the shelf. In the meantime, ATDM’s product range grew into a full offering of aerosol workshop consumables.
