Humble beginnings in 2006 saw the fledgling company Fortron SA start with 5 bottle products out of a Storeroom. After a visit to Perth Australia, we expanded our offering with some workshop equipment and service kits and systematically penetrated a difficult market in difficult times with a recession in 2008, but we survived. Words like ProfitModel® and InjectorMax® became synonymise with Forton SA and recognized in the dealer fraternity.

In the meantime, Automotive Technologies, Distribution and Marketing (ATDM) was born in 2008, due to a need for locally manufactured Anti-bacterial Aircon treatments.

Fortron SA continued to go from strength to strength. 2009 we moved to our first small warehouse. Staff compliment grew from 2 to 3 to 5 in a short period of time. We changed from driving Nissan bakkies to VW Caddy’s. 2013 we purchased our own warehouse in Hennopspark. 2014 we lost a big dealer group accounting for 25% loss of turnover. But we survived.

After a company risk analysis in 2015, we decided to make sure we can produce all the products ourselves.
